The short version: Kitty Catch keeps your cat's profile, scores and purchases both on your device and on our servers, so they survive a new phone. Settings → Start over clears the device. To have the copy on our servers deleted as well, email us — one message, and it is gone within 30 days.
Delete everything from inside the app
- Open Kitty Catch.
- Tap the gear icon (Settings) on the home screen.
- Tap Start over, then confirm.
This permanently clears the cat profile and its photo, all scores and progress, gift codes, your saved details and app settings from that device. It cannot be undone. It does not delete the copy on our servers — for that, see "Ask us to delete our copy" below.
Or uninstall the app
Removing Kitty Catch from your phone or tablet deletes all of its data from that device. It does not tell us anything, so the copy on our servers stays — and so does Start over. Email us if you want our copy gone; it is the only route that reaches it.
What we hold about you
An account created automatically for your device (no name, no password — and no email unless you have bought something), your cat's profile, your play sessions and scores, which games you own, and any gift codes. It is hosted by Supabase in the European Union (Ireland). The privacy policy sets it all out in section 2.
Payments themselves are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store — those records live with them under their own policies, and we never see your card details.
Ask us to delete our copy
Email privacy@kitty-catch.com with "Data deletion" in the subject. If you have bought something, write from the email address you used, so we can find the right account. If you have never given us an email, say so and we will tell you how to identify your device's account.
We delete your account and everything attached to it — cat profiles, photos, scores, leaderboard entries and settings — within 30 days, and sooner where the law requires it. We confirm in writing when it is done.
What we keep, even after you delete
Two things survive a deletion request, and why:
- Purchase and tax records — what was bought, when, for how much, and the email or account it was bought under. South African tax law requires transaction records to be retained, and both POPIA and the GDPR permit keeping personal information where a legal obligation applies. We keep these for five years, use them only for accounting, tax, refunds and disputes, never for marketing, and delete them afterwards.
- Gift codes you bought for someone else — these stay valid until redeemed or expired, so deleting your data never cancels a gift your friend is still holding.
Everything else — cat profiles, photos, scores, settings and your contact details — is deleted.
